Currently, you can fund your myRA account through any employer as long as the employer offers direct deposit and is able to direct a portion of your paycheck to your myRA account.
In the future, the United States Treasury will be making other methods available for you to contribute to your myRA account.
Not sure if you can fund your myRA account? Let us help.
Not sure?
If you’re not sure, just ask your employer. To make things easy, give your employer this Employer Letter.
And if you have any other questions, you can contact us at 855-406-6972 or TTY/TDD 855-408-6972 or International 1-414-365-9616. You can also e-mail us at myra@treasury.gov
Currently, you can only fund your myRA account by direct deposit through an employer.
However, we are working hard on making other contribution methods available to you.
Please check back for updates.
Thank you for your interest in saving with myRA
You may or may not qualify to contribute to a myRA account at this time.
A myRA is a Roth IRA, and like other IRAs, requires that you (or your spouse, if married filing jointly) have taxable compensation to be eligible to contribute. For specific information on your eligibility to contribute to an IRA, you may want to speak to a financial advisor.
